En la canción se hace referencia en varias ocasiones a que "ya no quedan naranjeros".
Los "naranjeros" eran un tipo de subfusil copia del alemán Schmeisser MP28 y que la República fabricó sin licencia en los talleres de Alberique, Valencia, de ahí viene el apodo de "naranjeros".
